Hal Patchett drove in four

Fans Doubtful
NEW YORK, Aug. 21 VP)
Boxing returned to Madison
Square Garden last night after
a nine-week siesta because of a
circus and today the 8014 spec

value of the change.
In the main 10-round affair
Bobby Ruffin of New York
struck Cleo Shans of Los An
geles just often enough to win
the verdict. The rest of the time
the New Yorker kept himself
occupied by stepping out of the
way of the westerner's charges.
Ruffin weighed 133, a pound
and three-quarters less than his
opponent.
Tippy Larkln of Garfield, N.

bout in four days by whipping
Harry Teaney of Cleveland in
the 10-round co-feature.

Joe Abrahams still wants to

A close tournament is expect
