According to information from
the city recreation department,
plans are now, being made for
this year's Junior police summer
camp at Lake o' the Woods. Joe
Peak, head of the physical edu
cation program in the city
schools, and Dave Bridge, city
recreation director, will be in
charge. There will be other ex
perienced help also.
The boys' camp this year will
begin August 8 and close August
16, and the girls' camp will be
held the week beginning August
16.
Klamath Union high school
has granted the use of the high
school buses for transportation.
The cost for each child Is
16.50. This fee takes care of
bus fare, food, and all except a
few personal items which chil
dren are expected to supply.
Children attending the camp
enjoy hikes, swimming and oth
er outdoor activities. Last year
140 boys and 47 girls attended.
This year, however, not more
than 100 each week is the limit.
