Last week the quarterly
meeting of the Siskiyou Camp
and Hospital council, of which
the Klamath county chapter ia a
member, met at Medford and
aeveral repreaentativea attended
from thla chapter, including
Mra. Dean Osborn, camp and
hospital chairman for Klamath
county. Plana or the future
work In campa and hospitals
were made at the meeting. Rep
resentatives were present from
Ashland, Medford, Roseburg,
Yreka, Crania Pasa, Dunsmulr
and Klamath. After the meeting
tho representatives were taken
tp the Camp White area and in
spected varioua day rooms there.
Red Cross first aid has added
another chapter to tho colorful
history of San Francisco's fam-
oua ferry boots, recently called'

Two classes in first aid arc
conducted dally aboard tho ferry
boats which ply between San
Francisco and tho Richmond
yards. First class of the doy be
gins when tho Richmond-bound
ferry pulls away from the San
Francisco docks in the cold and
fog at 6:43 a. m. The second
starts when the tin-helmet con
tingent boards the 4:-J5 p. m. for-,
ry homeward bound.
Virtually every shipyard un
ion and a variety of nationalities

ers who mako up the ferry boat's '
first-aiders. There are somo 80
cnrollccs in the two classes.
Kibitzers are plentiful, but many
of these who gathered to laugh
at "rookie" first-aid classes in ac
tion, remained to admire. Today
the names of many of these kibit
zers are In the long list of appli
cants for the next first aid class.
