Rush later attended Oregon
State college up to the time
that he entered the service.
He has been stationed recent
ly in Pearl Harbor and will
be sent soon to the United
States to officers training
school. It is then that the
wedding will take place."

parish house.

short business meeting was
held at the beginning of the
evening with election of offi
cers. Mrs. Richard Hibbs was
elected the new president;
Mrs. Helen Goeckner, vice
president, and Mrs. Truman
Berg, secretary-treasurer. Tho
remainder of the evening was
spent playing cards. High
score was won by Mrs. Tru
man Berg and low by Mrs.
Donald McKay.

were in play at the meeting of
the Eastern Star Social club
on Friday afternoon in tho Ma
sonic temple, following the
dessert hour at a quarter to
two o'clock.
Mrs. A. R. Dickson resigned
as president of the club, and
Mrs. Will Wood was elected
to fill tho office. Serving with
Mrs. Wood will be Mrs. Morris "

and treasurer.

One of our Klamath residents who has done a lot of travel
Ing lately is Mrs. Robert Thompson, who has just returned v
from Washington, D. C, where she has been with her husband '
Lieutenant Bob Thompson. Bob is now with the flight control
command in the air corps division of the weather bureau In
Mrs. Thompson has been gone for six weeks, during which ;
she spent ten days with her husband in Washington. Among ;
the many interesting experiences she had there was a trip
through the famous Pentagon building, where she saw a film
showing the Germans' march through the conquered countries.
