Convicts Address
War Ration Books
SALEM. June 4 (P) Stato
prison convicts are working on
the Job of addressing 1,235,000
war ration books No. 3 to every
resident of Oregon.
The books will go to 330,000
different mailing addresses. Be
tween 80 and 75 convicts are
working every day on the Job,
and about 150 work nights.
The. now. Flying Jeep,- or Son
thiol, carries a pilot and an ob
server, two-way radio equip
ment and is designed for unusual
stability in the air so that the
pilot can concentrate on observ
ing with a minimum of stalls or
spins.
Almost 70 per cent of the
aluminum that would ordinarily
