Taylor of Pprtland Reports Slated At League Meet Women Voters Plan Session for Monday After 1 noon in Library Club Rooms Reports of standing committees will be heard Monday aft ernoon, when the Klamath County League of Women Voters will hold its regular meeting in the small club room of the city library. Mrs. M. J. Young, who was scheduled to present a paper on "Women's Suffrage Throughout the World," has postponed this program until a later date, according to Mrs. Everett R. Dennis, league president. 1 Short discussions will be given Monday afternoon by Mrs. Paul Buck, wartime chairman, and Mrs. E. A. Geary, head of the foreign policy study group. Mrs. Buck will discuss the Reciprocal Trades Agreement,- and Mrs. Geary will talk on the Lend Lease program. Election of officers for the coming year will be held at the meeting, and plans for the convention of tho State League of Women Voters will be discussed. The convention Is to be held In Portland May 18 and 18. Mrs. Dennis will represent the local league, and several other members of the Klamath group hope to attend some of the sessions. Dues for the ensuing year are now payable, according to Mrs. E. Laton Stephens, league treasurer, and members are urged to make payments as soon as possible in order that books may be brought up to date. The board of di rectors of the local group has decided on a plan for gradu ated dues Instead of the for mer donation system. By this method, members may pay a minimum of one dollar, or as much more as they may de sire. Dues wero formerly pay able in the fall, but the state league changed this time to spring at its last convention. A meeting of the board of directors will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon preceding the regular ses sion, according to Mrs. Den nis, Mrs. A. Jack Alsup, eighth grade stu dent, is reported to have sub mitted to an appendectomy Tuesday at Hillside hospital, Klamath Falls. The boy, an honor student and scheduled to graduate early in May, is re ported to be seriously ill. Charles K. Weise was in Med- ford Wednesday on business.
