Non-competitive
Show Plans Made
Annual Election of Officers To Be Held by Li
brary Club on May the Tenth
One of the most important meeting dates for members of
the Klamath Falls Woman's Library club is the May meeting
slated for Monday the tenth, at two o'clock in the main audi
torium of the city library, when officers will be elected and
reports of committees heard.
Because of war time restrictions on time and material,
members have dispensed with the annual spring flower show
and in its stead, there will be :
a non-competitive show. This
is sponsored by the Garden
club.
All women who are Interest
ed in flower arrangements
are urged to enter displays
in the show and to make this
show as beautiful as those in
the past despite the non-competitive
angle.
Anyone having specimens
should also take part, it was
urged. These can be brought
to the library rooms from ten
o'clock in the morning until
one o'clock. Mrs. Frederick
W. Hamilton, president of
nr- u,v. 1.
"""" """1 " y
man
Committee members
will be present to place the
exhibits.
Plans are also being made
for the annual spring tea, the
proceeds to be presented to
the Commandos for their
work in the city.
One reason given for the
holding of a non-competitive
show instead of entirely dis
pensing with the exhibit, is
that of continuity. Members
did not wish to break the
years of display and after the
war the usual elaborate shows
will be held,
