but traders said this action had
been largely discounted.
The general undertone contin
ued easier, however, and wheat
closed .iear the lows for the day.
Rye and oats were in limited de
mand and prices sold off sym
pathy with wheat. Corn was bid
at the ceilings.
Wheat closed 1 to li cents un
der yesterday's final levels, May
$1,461-1; July $1,471-1; corn was
bid at ceiling limits; oats were
unchanged on the current deliv
ery at 3c lower on deferred con
tracts and rye was 1-1 cents low
