processed foods before tho first
ration period expires, tho Office
of I'rico Administration hus
provided a 7-duy ovcrlup period

ing which time consumers muy
spend both their first period
and their second period stumps.
Stumps A, B and C aro valid
for tho first period and may bo
used from March 1 through
March 31. Stumps for the sec
ond period may bo used from
March 25 through April 30.
During tho overlapping period
of Murch 29 through March 31
stumps for both Murch and
April may bo used. After March
31, however, Stumps A, B and
C will not bo valid.

These stamps, which might not
be sufficient to buy any desired
items, can bo used with stamps
of tho second period for the
purchase of any of the rationed
foods.
Consumers are reminded that
since- storekeepers cannot give
them chungo in points, they
should, whenever possible, use
high valuo stumps first rather
than thoso of low valuo. For ex
ample, in buying a can of peas
worth 16 points, they should
use two 8-polnt stamps, rather
than an 8, a 8, 2 and 1-point
stumps.
