fic. His mother has not heard
from him since that timo with
tho exception of a Christmas
telegram, Ho Is a former Klam
ath Union high school student.
TULELAKE Mr. and Mrs.
Clark W. Fensler have been ad
vised of the advance in rank from
captain to major of their eldest
son, Robert W. Fensler, now in
charge of a bomber squadron.
The honor was bestowed on
Christmas day at Pueblo, Colo.,
following a rapid rise in rank
since he joined the army air
corps three years ago.

training at Kcllcy field, Tex..
Major Fensler served as instruc
tor for new pilots at a number
of stations in the west and mid
dle west. Later, transferring to
a borrfbing squadron, hp received
training In Florida. Commission
ed a captain, he was sent to
Wendover field, Utah.
Major Fensler, a graduate of
Tulelake high school, has just
passed his 24th birthday.
Two other sons of Mr. and
Mrs. Fensler, Dick and Jack, are
also in the service.
