commerce legislative committee

measure to be on the November
3 ballot, and in favor of another.
The action wa approved by the
board of directors. .
The chamber favor the
amendment to prevent diversion
of motor vehicle money to any
uses except for highways, streets
and related purposes.
It opposes the bill ' distribut
ing surplus state funds to school
districts.

Gallon said officials at the
army's Muroc air base had re
quested resident of the area
near the city of Tehachapi to re
port any word of the craft, which
was bound from Hamilton field,
San Francisco, to March field,
Riverside.
At Tehachapi, Mayor John
Squires said a searching party
had attempted unsuccessfully
last night to reach a point 10
miles southeast of the city,
where a plana crash was report
ed. The craft disappeared about
noon yesterday, a heavy storm,
bringing snowfall, had broken
over the area earlier in the day.
