tion and threats to kill, Fred
G. Hanford, 34, was overcome
by tear.gas in his hotel room
here last night after he had
emptied his pistol through the
door at officers - who were at
tempting to arrest him.
With the man at the time
were hit aged mother and
5-year-old ton who crouched ter
rified in the corner during the
shooting.
