ONE-SHOT HYPO
SEATTLE, July 1 VP A
Seattle dentist, with an eye for
Invention as well as cavities, has
devised a one-shot hypodermic
syringe which he foresees as a
llfo savor for wounded men on
the battlefield. It's a cellulose
wrapped automatic device, to be
used and discarded like a paper
cup.
Dr. Ralph Huber, the creator,
explains that Its great virtue la
In eliminating the time-consuming
process of sterilization and
the danger of Infection from Im
properly sterilized needles.
Upon an expression of Intorest
from medical chiefs nf the army
and navy, Dr. Huber said he sent
samples of tho new syrlngo to
Washington yesterday.
'They are always reody for
Instant use and thus might save
many lives In on emergency,"
the laboratory-minded dentist ob
served. "They would be factory
filled and sterilized. I bellcvo
every soldier should carry ono
