THE PRECEDING YEAR.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the legal voters of Union
High School District No. 2, of Klamath County, State of Oregon,
that a sperinl budget election will be held within the boundaries
of said district at Klamath Union High School, at Wall Street
and The Alameda, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, on the 32nd day
of June, 1942, from the hour of 2 o'clock p. m. to the hour
of 7 o'clock p. m. to vote on the question (1) of increasing the
amount of the tax levy in said Union High School District for
the fiscal year beginning on July 1, 1942, and ending on the 30th
day of June, 1943, on the taxable property within said district
more than 6 over the tax levy for the preceding year, arfa (2)
of adopting or rejecting the following budget of estimated ex
penditures for said district for said fiscal year.
- It is necessary to raise this additional amount of money by
a special tax levy for the following reasons:
Increased adjustments in teachers' salaries, increased oper
ating expenses, including expenses connected with the national
defense program sponsored by said district, and Increased costs
for equipment and repairs.
