ket uncertainties, lack of de
mand, excellent crop prospects,
shortage of storage facilities and
pending farm legislation com
bined today to force all grain fu
tures prices sharply lower, in
several Instances to new low sea
sonal levels. ,
All deliveries of wheat lost
more than 2 cents just before the
close on renewed activity by sell;
era. Weakness of cotton futures
also was a factor. There were
reports of selling here which was
regarded as against purchases at
Minneapolis.
All deliveries of wheat and
corn closed at or near the day's
bottommost levels.
7 Wheat finished 2i to 21 cents
under Friday's final levels, July
$1,168-5, September $1,191-8;
corn was 3 to 11 lower; July 86
1-1, September 881-3; oats de
clined II to 21; rye was off 21
to 3; soybeans 11 to 34; and lard
was unchanged to 21 cents a
hundred pounds lower.

Trading In domestic wools both
eastern fleeces and territory de
scriptions was irregular today
with prices about steady for the
finer grades. Fine Delaines were
quoted at 46 to 48 cents, grease
basis, or $1.18 to $1.20 for aver
age wools, cleaned basis. The
market for country-packed medi
um fleece wools was quiet with
prices quoted at 48 to 50 cents
for Iths bloods and one quarter
blood, grease basis. There was a
limited movement of one-quarter
blood at the figure named.

market, credited partly to mora
hopeful war news, failed to fol
low through with any appreci
able strength and Initial gains
running to a point or so wera
reduced In many cases after mid
day. Transfers were around BOO,

Steels backed away from their
forenoon run-up. Rails wera
mostly lower. Modest advance
were well distributed as the ses
sion approached the finish but
there were plenty of laggards.
