the army, concerned with giving
all evacuated aliens a square
deal, Tuesday announced estab
lishment of 64 offices in Call
fornip Oregon and Washington.
These offices will provide nec
essary information to Japanese
aliens and Japanese-Americans
as well as German and Italian
aliens who must move out of
military zones. - -
Help will be available along
social service lines, for family
assistance, employment oppor
tunities and making of crop
leases and the handling of city
and farm properties.

Word was received here this
week that Elmer Prator, form
erly of Merrill, who has spent
the winter in Oklahoma with his
parents, suffered a broken leg
recently when he fell from a lad
der. Prator, who planned to
leave the next day for Oregon,
was helping roof a house when
the accident happened. He was
to have been employed this
summer by Earl McVey.
