All work and no play is certainly out as far as wom
en of Klamath Falls ore concerned and although there is
scarcely a one shirking the duties of defense what with a
dozen or so classes under way in first aid, canteen serv
ice, nutrition, motor corps and whatnot, the calendar still
fills itself with affairs which definitely are a lift to the
morale.
For Instance a hundred or more will start out next
Monday morning to open the annual membership cam
paign for the Klamath Community Concert association and
workers should find It o good task well done when they
complete their efforts Saturday, March the twenty-first.
With the Ballet Russo de Monte Carlo scheduled on the
1942-43 series, music and dance lovers are especially
Q thrilled over tho coming performance. "The Marriage of
Figaro" will appear here Monday night at the Pelican the
atre as the last concert of the season. This promises to be
much fun.
Three dances are scheduled for this month, tho Itol
lon supper dance at Roames on the night of Saturday,
March the twenty-first, and the Winter Dancing club Daf
fodil dance the following Saturday. On this same night
there Is the Sons and Daughters dancing party for the
younger group at the Elks temple, this affair sponsored by
the Elks.
Then there are many parties planned for young cou
ples leaving Klamath Falls and if you aren't thinking of
giving one you practically are out of the swing. Never has
there boen such an exodus of Klamath folks. Army and
navy service has quite depleted tho ranks of the younger
married people.
There are two interesting card parties planned, first
being the annual St. Patrick's "whist" party at the WillaVd
oh March the seventeenth by St. Mary's Altar society. The
Other Is the Easter Monday bridge tea sponsored by women
of St. Paul's Guild on April the sixth at the Willard.
