INS GIVE UP
CHICAGO, March 10 (4s)
Realiilng sales and drying up of
demand forced grain futures to
surrender much of the early
sharp price gains today.
Failure of the president to
make direct reference to pending
farm legislation that would pro
hibit government sales of sur
plus wheat and com at less than
parity prices was the chief rea
son for the early upturn. Later,
however, some traders expressed
the opinion that the general Im
port of his address left little
doubt as to his position regard
ing present prices of farm com
modities. Extreme gains in wheat and
soybeans amounted to 11 cents,
but later the bread cereal gain
was reduced by more than half
and at times soybeans gave up
all but i cent of the advance.
Prices firmed again toward the
close although most gains were
confined to minor fractions.

Newspaper advertising is like that. It delivers messages.

The dry-goods merchant needs several

A big department store is really many stores in one. Each
department really is a store. A department store may take as
much as a whole section many pages of a newspaper to
advertise its wares.
Thus, you see, the newspaper is a messenger that can
do the job of the delivery boy or the 10-ton truck. It
can deliver messages of any size from one line in the
classified columns to many pages of display space.
Newspaper advertising is flexible can be fitted to
the needs of anyone with a message to deliver.

Thus newspapers can do more than make sure that their

their messages are mzcf, retnenibendf accepted
