E. Hoyden, superin tendent of tho USRS. This is land the bureau has had ready for opening the past two years, but could not be used due to the high water In the sump. Details will be announced later, Hayden stated. Construction of the Klamath reclamation project was begun In 1906. It consists of two divis ions. Main and Tule Lake, with irrigation water now available to 66,000 acres, and also serves other Warren act and contracted areas totaling 69,000 acres. Hay den stated Thursday it also takes In pumping plants and Klamath drainage districts Including the Van Brimmer, Langell Valley, Horsefly, Maun, Shasta View, Sunnyside and Enterprise dis tricts besides 34,000 acres of lease lands also watered by the project. I he meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 1942, at 7:30 p. m. at Red Cross head quarters in the Armory building, 112 North Spring. The American Bed Cross sew ing rooms both in the armory and in the Singer Sewing Ma chine company are probably the two busiest places In Klamath Falls at the present time. Knit ting and sewing is being taken out and returned completed al most as soon as the shipments of materials can be received. Because the sewing program &RDCBTTEEHA has taken on a new aspect since the outbreak of war it Is essen tial that all of the garments pro duced under the 1941 quota be returned and prepared for ship ment immediately.
