Mothers and fathers of
sons have spent just as
hectic a week as mothers
and fathers of daughters,,
so they tell. It was just
the usual "back to school".
1 preliminary which has
caught the younger set In
a whirl of excitement. -
Klamath Falls is well
represented along the Pa
cific coast. Some of the
boys go to Stanford,. Po
mona, Gonzaga but most
choose to stay in ' their
home state and have en
rolled at Reed, University
of Oregon or Oregon State
college. Others, of course,
have chosen eastern schools
and one is a student at
Notre Dame.
For a number of the
young men, this is their
first year of study away
from home. They have re
cently been graduated from
Klamath Union high school
and are now embarking
on the sea of higher edu
cation. Their courses are
varied and it is surprising
how many have chosen to
follow the sciences. Whd
says American youth is
frivolous? .......
- Anyway, good luckt
