New Envoy From

ROME, June 13 OP) Soviet
Russia's ambassador to Italy,
Nicolal Gorelchln, entered Italy
yesterday from Yugoslavia en
route to Rome to assume his post,
marking the resumption of nor
mal diplomatic relations be
tween Rome and Moscow.
Gorelchln left Rome last De
cember before he had presented
his credentials, following Italian
student demonstrations against
Russia, then at war with Fin
land.
MOSCOW, June 11 VT Sir
Stafford Cripps and Erik La
bonne, new British and French
ambassadors to soviet Russia,
arrived at Moscow yesterday on
the same plane. -
At the same time, the Italian
ambassador, Dr. Auguato Rosso,
former envoy to the United
States, returned to Moscow by
train.
Rosso was met by the entire
staff of the German embassy,
the Hungarian military attache,
and the staff of tha Italian em
bassy. Representatives of the
Russian foreign office were ab
sent as Rosso had been away
merely on leave.
His American wife, who re
mained In Italy, was expected
here within ten days.
