WHEN our high-flying Pelican
raised its wings and took
long weekend trek over the
mountains to tangle with a cave
man and a tiger, many ot the
dopesters shook their heads and
exclaimed, "He hasn't got a
chance."
But the proud bird had other
unconventional Ideas and soon
demonstrated Its aggressive na

First on the Pelicans meal
ticket was a Granta Pass Cyclo

fought "club and claw" to the
final stanza where the "punch

daunted bird breezed into Med-

vicious tiger and managed to
wing out a close victory.
Last week at our assembly
Principal Lloyd B. Emery elec

my father's Moe, and together
they make dynamo; and that s
what makes electricity.' "
Reverend Ivan Gould then
