The above figures apply only to Klamath county growera and do not Include funds subscribed by the Tule lake growers, Kach asso ciation Is to raise (500, the Klam ath county chamber ot commerce putting up a like amount from its advertising fund, making a total budget ot 11600 for adver tising Klamath potatoes. Potato growers throughout the United States are launching a cam paign to Increase the consumption of potatoes as they realise that the greater than average crop this year is seriously depressing prices. Both Maine and Idaho have sub scribed hundreds ot thousanda of dollars for advertising potntoea and other farm products, and De schutes county Is now doing likewise. DAIRY DAIRY Opan Baker, Jerrold Baker, Mary Dixon and Sidney Hall of Klamath Falls spent Sun day afternoon with Opal's and Jerry's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Schmoe. Mra. Bert Fraley left last Sat urday evening for Moline, III.. where ahe will spend the holidays with relatives. Before returning to her home In Klamath Falls, she will visit other relatives and friends In Chicago. She Is mak ing her trip by train. Orlan McCumber la busy paint ing and papering his mother's house, which the boys recently moved to her lots in Dairy. Mrs. McCumber will be able to move in very soon. The Dairy school children and Inatructor, Mra. E. Smith, pre sented an enjoyable Christmas program at the Dairy school on Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Gentry were guesta of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Arant Wednesday evening. Mrs. Gentry will be remembered by her friends aa Laura Walker. The Horsefly Irigation district Is constructing a new flume in the Albert Burgdorf field, which will be ready for spring nse. Harry W bltbe and Johnny Bradshaw have been busy working on the construction but the past week Bradshaw haa been laid up with rheumatism so Mr. Black of Bo- nania haa taken his place until Bradshaw Is able to work again. Boyd Bruner motored to Cor vail Is Sunday to bring his family home for the holidays. They all returned home on Monday but Eleanor! who Is working. She will be home to spend the holidays with them. - Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Bchmoe and Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Schmoe at tended the wedding of Mary Dixon and Jerrold Baker Wednesday evening at the bride a borne In Bly. Mary Dixon Is the daugh ter ot Mr. and Mrs. James Dixon, and Jerrold Baker, aon of Mrs. Eric Johnson of Sacramento, Cal. Jerrold la the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Schmoe. Friends of Jim Heltebrand are glad to hear that he is rapidly improving after being sick for the past couple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Gandy left Thurs day evening for Ashland where they will spend the holiday vaca tion. Mr. and Mrs. Gandy live In the Dairy School apartments. Gandy Is on the teacher staff at Bonania. School closed Its door Thiiradav afternoon after the Christmas party and will not open until after the holidays are ended. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Horalev and sons Bobby and Neil of 8wan Lake left for Oakland, Cel., where mey win visit with Mrs. Horalevs parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thew, and uiuer relatives.
