CANBY MILL SET
TO REOPEN AFTER
MONTH SHUTDOWN
Logging and mill, operations
will be resumed by the Big Lakes
Box company at Canby, Calif., on
October 11, it was announced
Wednesday by A. J. Wye, offi
cial of the company.
About 100 men are employed in
the woods and mill crews. Voye
said.
The mill and logging camp
about 10 701100 south of Canby on
the Canby railroad, have been
closed down for the past month.

BIEBER, CalifOne man was
injured, four Heaped Injury and
two autonlobiles were wrecked in
a collision Monday night on the
state highway west of Adin,
Albert I. Finley, who recently
came to Nubleber from Bellevue,
Wash., suffered a cut through one
nostril. He was driving alone.
In the other car were Roy
Abbott, C. E. Buckmaster and
JUN liee Ed Gould, all of Lindsay,
Calif., and Deputy Sheriff Harry
Purcell of Visalia. Buckmasteen
car was CO badly damaged that
the quartet said they would have
to get another machine before
they could continue the deer hunt
ing trip that. brought them here
from Tulare county.
The trailer that carried their
camping equipment came through
the wreck all right, so they had It
hauled to Bieber, set up their
tents in town and were camped
here Tuesday.
