The Golden Text was, "Thine, 0 Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the vic tory, and the majesty" (I Chron. 29:11). Among the citations which com prised the Lesson-Sermon was the following from the Bible: "Thus saith the Lord: Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh of his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the des ert, and shall not see when good cornett': but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land and not inhabitated. Blessed is the man that trusteth In the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is" (Jer. 17:5-7). The Lesson-Sermon also Includ ed the following correlative pas sages from the Christian Science textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "As God is sub stance and man is the divine image and likeness, man should wish for, and in reality has, only the sub stance of good, the substance of Spirit, not matter. The belief that man has any other substance, or mind, is not spiritual and breaks the First Commandment, Thou shalt have one God, one Mind" (p. 301).
