Strawberry Jam

1 qt. trawberrle
I cup sugar
Prepare berries and drop Into
1 nt. boiling water. Cover, let
land 6 minute, drain and add
11 cups sugar to berries. Iioll 6
minute and add the other 11
cups augur. Boll 20 minutes,
akim and put In Jars.

berrle tay whole and retain
much of their fresh fruit flavor.
Prune and) Orange Conserve

Soak one pound prune over
night and then cook until aoft.
Put through a colander. Add to
the pulp the Juice in which they
were soaked. 3 orangea, aeeded
and put through the grinder, 2
cupa brown augur. Cook until It
begin to thicken, atirrlng fre
quently. Add i cup chopped Eng
lish walnut, cook three minutes
longer and then pour Into ster
ilized tumbler. Seal when cold.
Winter Jam

Wash 1 pound dried apricots,
and run through meet grinder.
Peel three oranges and three lem
ons and boll the peel until ten
der. Scrape out white pith with
silver spoon and cut yellow peel
with scissors, into flue shreds,
ollce lomons and orangea, and
add with shredded peel and 4
cupa of crushed pineapple to apri
cots. Measure and add an equal
amount of sugar. Cook slowly
until thick and clear, seal In
glasses. One cup walnuts may
be added at the last to make a
very rich Jam.
Orange Conserve

berries. 1 lemon "
1 oup seeded raisin
4 cupa augur
1 cup walnut meats, broken In
pieces.

oughly. If cranberries are ued,

colunder, and run cold water over
them to. Remove us muny seeds
as possible. Mix the fruit, grated
rind, sugar und rulHlns, which
may bo chopped or cut In pieces.
Cook slowly until thick und add
nut. Cook f minutes ufter add
ing nutu and pour Into sterilized
giusses, Cool and seal with
puruffln.
Orange Jelly

with three times as much wuter

over night. Then put on atove
and boll 4& minutes. Let stand
another 24 hours. The third
morning strain and measure cup
for cup of augur and Juice, boll
about ono hour or until It Jellies.
Orungo and Rhubarb Mnrmuludc

2 qtiurt rhubarb, cut up fine
Juice of 6 oranges
Peeling of 3 oranges, chopped
fine.
Use as many cups of sugar as
fruit.
Mix all together In large pre
serving kettle.
Cook 30-40 minutes (until
thick) stirring to keep from
sticking.
Put In glasses and seal.
