of that charactor. Prime first

change, while firsts and the two
top scores were nnchsnged. There
was likewise no change noted In
the buying price on hutterfat.
Weather condition have been
a trifle scarce and tbs supply ot
standard has not been more than
sufficient to take care ot Imme
diate needs of the trade her.
Storage demand likewise was
favorable.
Market for eggs continued to
reflect a stesdy but active tone.
There was no change suggested
In either buying or selling prlcis
for the day. Much hot weather
stock was showing up.
General chicken market situa
tion was stesdy and without price
change here. Recent advance in
the bnying price In broilers la
face ot low priced selling by Pu
get Sound Interests has caused
some concern among killers who
buy for cash.
Demand for dressed turkeys at
the low price recently pnt Into ef
fect, has taken care of a very lib
eral supply and especially hens.
The best were not above 16c,
which was materially lower than
heavy hens.
Advancing prices on California
strawberries here were due to
the late scant supply and liberal
domand. Small Increase was
of locals, bnt these were not yet
available In supply to affect
values.
New potatoes were showing re
duced prices generally with lib
erally increased offerings to
whites from Shatter. Old pota
toes, however, were In Improved
movement but little was shown
in the country.
Market for country killed
cairns . continued to ' reflect
strength for quality, although late
receipts have been rather liberal.
Hoga and lambs were steady, with
mutton Just holding. Beet was
in call. . . . ...
First carload ot cantaloupes of
the 1934 season appeared on the
market dnring the day and was
priced from 15.00 for Jumbo 45s
down to $2.00 for flats. Quality
was considered good and demand
fair.
New California wax ' onions
were offered at $1.60 per lug tor
white, and 75c per lug foe yel
low. Old onions were moving
well st full prices. -
Artichokes were 25c per box
higher for 5s and 40a higher per
box for 4s.
Asparagus market was active
and fully steady.
Local peas were being offered
aronnd 6c per lb. Callfornian
selling 2c to 4c per lb.
Tbe Dalles lettuce was expect
ed In quite fair offering the
first ot the week. Callfornian
was firm here.
