The tournament, played here
last year, probably will go to a
city in the northern section ot
tbe district this season. From all
Indications the games , will be
played at Bend.
Pelican Favored
There still Is some alight pos
sibility Redmond high school will
win in the north. Should this be
tbe case the quintet from the
southern section of tha district
will play at Redmond.
The Klamath Pelicans un
doubtedly will be tbe team from
this section. It has not yet been
announced whether or not the
Pelicans will be required to meet
the- winner of the annual "B"
tournament here Friday and Sat
urday before entering the district

9 and 10 will move onto tbe state
championships at Salem. March

The Klamath Pelicans are dis
tinct favorites to go to tbelr third
state play-off. Bend, strongest
rival In this district, already has
lost two games to Klamath.
Should Kiamatb again meet tbe
Lava Bears, the boys from this
section will be expected to win.

will work in the park Sunday
preparing a suitable ski Jump,
toboggan and aled slides. The
ski Jump site Is one of the best
ever found in Southern Oregon,
and Is expected to permit Jumps
over 100 feet In length, which
have never been seen In this sec
tion. A program of events Is now
under preparation by Alfred Cas
tel. president of the Crater Lake
club, and will be announced In
detail In a short time. It Is
probable trophies or loving cups
will be presented to winners of
major events, while merchandise
will be awarded to participants
in minor contests.
