peared fully steady, even though
undertone was not finite aa good
as it waa a week ago.
Butterfat buying price were
held mostly at the blgb point
locally with country prices still

There was again a lack of gen
eral change In the egg market
price and situation for the day.
Storage oporatlona were slowly
getting nnder way, but the gen
eral, movement was not due to
atart until next week.
Shortage of chickens continued
pronounced In the local trade
with all prices held firm with an
occasional fractional premium
auggosted as paid by operator
who were abort
There was still a good snipping
call for dressed turkey out of
the Pacific Northwest, with
Southern California now the lead
ing seeker for supplies. Prices
were firm but unchanged.

All country meats showed well
sustained prices for the day with
a continued acuta abortage sug
gested in old mutton and lambs.
No spring lambs bare been re
ported.
Wltn former buyers mora or
less determined to cleanup and

the market for onions waa prac

mary points. Local jobbing trade
was slow.
Prlcea were being fairly well
held tor potatoes here, but little

ing for spinach here, with both
Walla Walla and Texa contrib
uting. Prices - were generally

were of limited volume.

NEW YORK, Feb. 18 (UP)
A storm of protest tonight tol
lowed announcement by the
Rockefeller Interest that a mu
ral by Diego Rivera In Radio City
which was the subject of a bitter
controversy last spring had been
destroyed.
The mural waa chopped off the
wall by workmen last Saturday,
It waa understood, and apparent
ly no announcement waa to have
been made.
Today however the news had
leaked out and the following
statement waa issued at Rocke
feller center:
"The Rivera mural has been
removed from the walla of the
RCA building and the place re
plastered. The removal Involved
the destruction of the mural."
In the Amazon river, the tide
rolls the water backward for 600
miles.
