Ton hear plenty about a
young gent named Martin in the
gabfests of the world champions.
"When Martin cam to bat
about th third time yesterday."
remarked Cochrane, "1 said to
bim: 'Say, kid, don't you ever
pop out?" He cam right back:
'I'm Just In there swinging and
getting th breaks.' "
It is a new experience for the
A's this business ot being raid
ed, narraased and generally
mad to appear a trifle foolish
by a rookie. but it has gone fsr
enough now so thst they can
laugh about the sheer audacity
and brilliance ot th Cardinal
outfielder. There may be a bit
ot worry behind th laughs but
th A's hare the gallantry to
take their hats oft to a young
ster able to come through as
Martin has don with every re

"I don't know how to top

balls or Blowball.'
Mack' shake-up ot his line
up in the fifth game, with Mc

Jim Moore going to th outfield
in place ot Haas, was believed
merely a one-day emergency
measure designed to break thru
Wild Bill Hallahan's defense.

Catarrhal Deafness
May Be Overcome
If you have catarrhal deafness
or head noises go to Star Drug
Co. or your druggist and get 1
os. of ParmlnU (double strength)
and add to It "4 pint ot hot
water and a little sugar. Take
1 tablespoonful four times a
day.
This will often bring quick re
lief from th distressing bead
noises. Clogged nostrils should
open, breathing become easy and
th mucous stop dropping Into
the throat. It Is easy to pre

to take. Anyone who ha
catarrhal deafness or bead noises
