Those who did not vote for him there want h glimpse of tho man who did the almost miraculous and "broke the solid south". They want to know more about him. TKa speculation of political philosophers as to what the hrcuklug of the solid south means for the future of the American political scheme is being Indulged In, likewise, by Hoover, himself, ami by those about him astute In the ways of practical politics. For the first time they see real promise of live, effective and ac tive republican organisations In the south. They will be quick to reap the fruits of this amaitng victory. They want to hold what they have trained, and this will tuko organization. The president' elect and his advisers will give attention to this phase of the victory. Hoover has declined to discuss his future plans, and It is not known whether he will visit the south before Inauguration or not. Ho has turned down numerous in vitations that have come from t)h' west coast for visits. It is possible that he might spend a part of the winter, early next" year, in Florida, one of the etal which gave him its elector el ytites, but he is making no plan that tar ahead. He is con sidering bis return to Washington wiildi will be before Christmas, by way of the Panama Canal, but no definite' decision has been reached. The telegrams . from rbe south are Just a portion of 10, 000 . or more that have come fronl all parts of the country nnd all parts of the world., in cluding congratulations from foreign potentates and rulers. The typists were set to work ing in the mansion today trans cribing answers to the many con gratulatory messages.
