the deep rough. What was to be
done?
"Making a careful examination.
I discovered that a narrow open
ing between the two trees gave
a direct line to the flag. But the
pathway between the trees was
not more than six inches In
width so narrow. In fact, that
I could see nothing on the green.
"I would have to play a ball
neither too high nor too low.
The former kind would catch the
branches of the trees and the
latter would not get out of the
rough. I took my mashle and
using the most careful aim pos
sible, let go. The ball sailed be
