near death in a - hospital here
today with a fractured aknll and
broken hip. suffered when run
over by a car here ' Saturday
night. The driver, George Tealor,
was under $500 bail on a traffic
charge.

UP) John A. Walker, pioneer
painter and manufacturer of pic
ture frames, died of heart dis
ease while sweeping a cottage
east of Coos bay Sunday. He
waa 76. His brother died at
