BENEFIT DANCE
That the 'Tieneflt dance to be
given on next Tuesday evening,
December sixth at the Winter
Garden under the auspices of the
city police and fire department
will prove one of the most suc
cessful In the history of the city
was indicated when it was re
vealed that close to 500 tickets
have already been sold. Hal
Hlackburn'a orchestra will pro
vide the dance music.
Proceeds of the dance will be
used for the Community
Christmas tree which the depart
ments are giving the kiddle of
Klamath Kails on Krlday evening,
December twenty-third. The date
was set ahead In order that
kiddie might enjoy this affair
and still be at home on Christmas
eve. More than 1500 stockings
filled with goodies will be dis
tributed by the departments to
children. The tree will be plac
ed In front of the city hall and
the street roped off from Klam
ath to Walnut.
On this same evening the Her
ald Is publishing a 24 page spe
cial edition announcing the Grand
Christmas opening of the stores
of Klamath Kail. The opening
will be Wednesday evening.
