TO An Appeal I wish to requent, aa Mayor of the city of Klam ath Falls, that every citizen Khali co-operate in bringing about absolute quarantine of cane of in fantile paralyjiiM. We are patwing through a rather severe ordeal in the city one that demands the rtern attention and earnest consideration of every loyal citizen. While the dixea.se is not as yet an -epidemic, our united .effort must be put forth to prevent it from becoming such. The entire police force of this city is hereby put at the disposal of the health department to en force quarantine regulation and if there are not sufficient ploicemen more will be furnished. I have investigated the action of other cities on the coast which have far more cases than have appeared in this city and I believe the advice of the State Hoard of Health in stating that all children' should be kept out of public places, is the only ef fective procedure we can follow. It has been demonstrated '.by other cities that closing of the business houses or county fairs or any such institutions has not been effective, and the only thing we as' ai sensible people can do is to look after the children properly and demand strict quarantine to be, broken, by no one. ,' Copies of the 'quarantine laws' are being furnish ed to every Ijome. where quarantine is declared and there is no excuse for violation, hence violation will not l)e tolerated. " . . ... ... "it j I ask altto join in a sane manner to undertake' i to 'handle' this situation in the best maimer possible. :'!! ! 100 STLUMA.S Td piii cnni I m wemn c:rr.; 1H i H II 1 1 HI 111 i H Hill I t I W WllsU U I I 1 I II I I IIW II I I WIIW WIWU Deer Season in Neighbor- r a : my county vpcniuK This Morning j', Many swivel chairs were un .K'niHitcd and many office desks dlHplayed a bore and lonely look ro.hr-. l ine reason is a aoou iwi pen , gbMclent one. for today deer season In Siskiyou county.
