A temporary transfer track will be made north of Alturas and prallel tracks will be laid on the bare sod tor transferring rails and ties. A aingle day's work will serve to in stall the transfer and much time will he saved In handling ma terials for the Work northward. Armed with dynamite and a huge steam ghorol, a crew is tearing away at the grade up Murray hill., wldonlng the cuts and filling the grade. Addi tions! crew' are following up he the ateel work.
