.An exclusive franchise to oper
ate a bus lino In Klamath Tails
was sought last night by Cat Crews,
taxi operator of this city. Crews
proposed running a bus line of two
routes, qne from the northern to
the southern boundary of the city
and the other from the eastern to
the western. He offers to the city
two per cent of the net proceeds of
the business and it was at that
point that his proposal ran into op
position. The council thought that it should
sot bo two per cent of the net but
two per cent of the gross receipts.
- "But, figuring it that way, two
per cent , of the gross would mean
