Expect to Obtain
Federal Building
Claiming Klamath Falls to be in
the center of a vast territory which
I) governed by federal lands and
agencies, the Klamath Falls cham
ber of commerce is using this as one
of Its strongest points In the effort
now being made to establish a federal
building in Klamath Falls.
That this community is growing
n.pidly Is ovldoncod by the rapid
Krowth in the business, of the local
yust office, which forced the office
to Seek largor quarters.
With but one federal building In
southern Oregon, that located in Med
ford, It is felt that Klamath Falls
could and should be the location of
a federal building to supply the de
mands ot southern Oregdn.
Letters and data have been mailed
to Senators McNary and Stanfield.
who have written the' local chamber
to give all possible information. It is
relieved that an appropriation will
be approved for the state ot Oregon

Time To Move

Tree, Warning
Dry Limbs Now Source
Of Fire Danger
Move your old Christmas tree out
of the house today, If you haven't
done so before.
This is the warning of Fire
Chief Ambrose today, following pas
sage of four uneventful days at the
city fire station, with no alarm
turned in.
"If yon brought your tree into
the house Christmas Eve, it is dry
as tinder by now and a potential
source of danger. Best play Bafe
and move it out now. You wouldn't
leave a pile of oil-soaked rags ly
ing around, and a dry Christmas
tree is just about as great a fire
menace," the chief said.
If you were expecting a Christmas
package that did not arrive, perhaps
you can call at the general delivery
window of the post office and iden
tify one it more of the half doifjl '
packages that reached the local of- i
