AND THE WORLD
MOVES ON
Are there times when you
can't help but wonder
Ah you're trailing along with
life's mob,
If the world wouldn't, just
go to thunder,
If you should fall down on
the job?
Don't kid yourself, son, for
a minute,
That you're needed in life's
stirring game;
Though you're doing vour
bit,
If you happen to quit,
This world moves along just
the same.
You may win both glory
and honor,
In life's tempetuous race ;
But when you drop out you
are a "goner,"
And there s someone to step
in your place ;
It's a battle, my boy, to the
finish,
And though you gain for
tune and fame,
If the going gets rough,
And you quit when it's
tough,
This old world moves along
just the same.
I can't help but think, as I
ramble
Up and down this highway
we call life,
Where every new day is a
gamble
Filled hourly with turmoil
and strife;
I can't help but think I re
peat it
That your goal, after all's,
a good name ;
You will cherish it best,
When it's time to 'Go west,'
And this world moves along
just the same.

This came when Will B( Haines,
