WHEAT CROP IX SWEDEN

STOCKHOLM. The breadstuff
crop in Sweden this year is more
than twice as large as that ot last
year and the requirements for Im
ports of American wheat flour wi I
be correspondingly reduced. Not
since 1921 hat there been such a
harvest. The greatest gains hav
been made in rye and wheat sown
last fall. The unusually mild wint
er Is believed to have been chiefly
responsible.
The yield of rye has been more
than sufficient to satisfy, tha coun
try's normal needs and the calcul
ated requirments for imports of
wheat have been reduced from 339,
000 tons in 1923 to 180,000.
