TOKYO. (JP) The death rate
of infants in Japan is on the increase
principally because of the deficiency
of relief and sanitary measures. Of
ficial statistics disclose that more
than 1,300.000 babies die in the em
pire every year. In tho light of these
facts tho home ministry has decided
on tht establishment of sanitary sta
tions In every city throughout the
country in which the population is
nloro than 50.000. It Is expected that
more than 3,000,000 yen will be ex
pended in this work. Physicians nnd
nurses will be on duty at each of
these stations.
