just the right psychology to gain
his end. So happy and grateful
iwere the nimrods that Barnes did
not bother them particularly, that
they gave "until it hurt." for the
Klamath Sportsmen's banquet, and
considered themselves well off at
that.
Barnes had a tonneau full of
birds at the end of an hour or so,
and Sportsmen attending the an

good feed December 7.
Klamath Indian
Is Sent to Jail
For Eighty Days
Bid Riddle, son of that old and
respected member of the Klamath
Indian tribe. Jeff Riddle, is in jail
today. , He will be In Jail 79 more
days before he may again join his
family and friends at Beatty, his
home. i

young Indian was arrested for as
saulting a young woman of the
neighborhood with a dangerous
weapon.
Entanglements of several weeks !
over the culvert contract came to an '
end Saturday afternoon when the ,
county court let to the Kenotti Pipe 1
company of Portland, the 1926 road'
culvert contract for Klamath.
The Court agrees to use road cul- j
verts exclusively supplied by the I
Portland concern for the year 1926. j
There was one other bidder, the !
Beall Iron Pipe company of Port
land. When bids were first opened the
Fenotti bid was invalidated because
tho company did not submit a cer
tified check with its written offer.
The representative of the Beall Iron
Pipe company Immediately demanded
that the contract be let to his con
cern because his company had sub
mitted the only legal bid. Instead
tho county court threw out all bids
and re-advertised.
