The strange position Mrs. Weir
found herself in was revealed in the
superior court here when she ap
peared before Judge Charles J. Lut
treli and sought and won an annul
ment of her marriage to Hoot In
Santo Domingo. West ladies.

The testimony showed that Mrs.

at Columbus. Ohio, and v. II n thai
marriage did not prove all that it
might hve been, Mis. Weir wer.; to
Los Angeles. There, it is said. Mrs.
Weir met Hoot, who was then in the
marines, and when he was ordered to
Santo Domingo sho followed. S;
had filed an action for divorce in
Los Angeles -county and left lier
father with power of attorney to act
for her. The final decree wis never
granted, but Mrs. Weir thought it
had been, and when the statutory
time elapsed, she marrir I Hon:.

the couple went to California and
Mrs. Weir learned . that Weir had
brought action for a divorce from
her in Columbus and ha.l socttrml II.
Investigation later showed that Imt
action at Los Angeles had never
been completed and Mrs. Weir, twice
married hut without husband; en
tered the Siskiyou court for the an
nulment of the second marriage.
Robin Reed Wins
Wrestling Match
ALBANY, Ore.. Nov. 27. (JP)
Robin Reed, of Portland, Ore., in
structor of wrestling at Oregon Agri
cultural college. tonight won the
western J '.welterweight wrestling
championship and belt from Henry
Jones of Provo. Utah, by taking two
out of three falls in their match.
Jones took the first fall with n
leg cradle in 25 minutes while Reed
won the second in 22 'A minutes and
the third and final fall in 21 min
utes, both with the leg split.
The two men nave been rematch
ed and will wrestle here the night
of Friday, December 11.
