ed all winter, word from the we3t side
of the pass, where the snowfall motor
is located, is that deeper snows may
yet prove the success or the mach
ine. A representative of the factory
which manufactured the snow motor
has gone to the pass for repairs on
the machine necessitated because the
motor dashed into the gravel where
the snowfall was but a few inches
deep.
The stage owners declare that
when the snow is deeper and better
packed the snow motor will be able
to make its way over the surface,
carrying the passengers, or hauling
them In a sleigh. The motor, it was
pointed out, will not pack the snow
to make the road passable for cars,
but itself will take the passengers
over the pass.
