they will visit friends and relatives!
in Redding. Sacramento, Oakland,
and Borkeley. They are going by!
auto, and expect to be gone a month. I
Mr. Scoggins will attend a reunion
banquet in Borkeley Nov. 20. He
was a member of tho first athletic
team to cross tho American conti
nent. On 2, 1895, the University
of California, of which school Mr.
Scoggins was a student, choose ten
of their best men to represent her
in track meets against the eastern
universities. The team won all the
games but one. This Is the first
reunion sinco that time. AH of
that team are alive and with the
exception of one man will be pres
ent at the banquet. During Mr.
Scogglns' absence thoro will be no
meeting of the scouts.
