HEBE'S .V PARADOX
If over the title of a man's occu

Hnrnekoff. Mr. Harnekol'f is a sta
tionery traveling man. Hy that is
not meant that ho is a man who
Is accomplishing that rather diffi
cult feat of traveling around and
at tho same time remaining sta
tionary. No, for therein lies the
paradox. Mr. Haruekoff is a trav
elling salesman who sells paper,
envelopes and other supplies all
coming under tho common head of
"stationery." He is stopping at the
Hall hotel.
PRANK IRA WHITE HERE
Tho name. Frank lra White,
strikes a responsive cord in tho
memories of hundreds of old time
residents of this county. All be
cause Mr. White, in the first place,
wus once a very prominent rancher
of this territory; nnd in the second
plnco was closely identified witlt
public affairs of the county during
his residence here. In lato years
Mr. White moved away from Klam
ath, but he has retained property
in Klamath, just south of litis city,
known as the While ranch. And it
was for that reason that he return
ed to Klamath Falls last night to
spend several days in tho county.
Ho is stopping at the Hall hotel.

Heturns from tho county school!
census in tho smaller communities
are beginning to drift in to the
county school clerk's office. Little
change Hi tho population is noted
by the return from the smalt com
munities. It is expected that the
largest increase will be shown from
ChUoqutn, with Merrill, Malin and
Booaasa close behind. But Chilo
QUln during the past year, owing to
new mils and general development,
has displayed a substantial growth.
