Tuesday, October 20, 1925 WAITING ON "GEORGE" This is a fairly good community, as communities go. Even without being boastful, it is possible for any cit izen to point with pride to his home. But there is one fly in the ointment that prevents Klamath Falls from advancing as rapidly as it should. Everyone is willing and actually wants to have things done, but always waits for "George," that mythical "cnod fellow," to do it. But when" George reaches a tain point, he balks because-he tries to carry the whole load. ! '.t thing needed most of all is a great spirit of work v which entirely eliminates prejudices and ; ffchne'ss yiHinass on the part of each one to do ' ' share in the advancement of our community interests. ; .-very community there are always a few, in every en.erprise, who are willing to work for the public good. They are the "Georges." O.ice in awhile we read of some place that keeps booming and shoving right along regardless of condi tions or handicaps. Such a place is full of "Georges," and because they ait so numerous, none of them is overworked and "there is no occasion for balking. Why can't we all be "Georges?" There is ulentv of room for imni'nvpmnf ariA n!nnv of people with the time, energy and money to be "Georges." New Items Of Interest From Oregon Cities MltS.
