condition was very serious for a
while, but she is improving rapidly

J. A. Rellley, who is employed at
the machine shops, left Wednesday
for a month's vacation at Oakland.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Compton, who
have lived among us the past two
years, left Tuesday for their old
home at Marceline, Mo., where they
expect to remain. While here Mr.
Compton was employed as night
watchman around camp. ,
Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Willbanjts
were in Weed, California on busi
ness the first of the week. Mr.
Willbanks i3 the manager of the
Tennant Mercantile store.
During the absence of Jack Clark,
Mr. J. J. Murphy has charge of
camp Xo. 1. which is about 1" miles
from Tennant. ' . ' - i
Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Miller re
turned Wednesday from a two
weeks stay in San Francisco, where
they have been visiting friends and
attending the Golden Jubilee. They
report having had a fine trip and a
wonderful time.
Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Herod and
daughter. Lathelle left Saturday by
motor for a few days visit with
friends and relatives at Orange
Cove and other California points.
Born Monday, September 14, to
Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Littrel, a boy.
Paul Henry Jr. celebrated his 1st
birthday September 10th. Mrs. W.
D. Vance presented him with a
lively decorated cake in the center
of which was one candle.
Mr. and Mrs. Clay Parker and
Mr. and Jlr.i. Merle Brainard motor
ed to Yreka, Calif., Saturday. The
men, attended Masonic lodge Satur
day evening", and on Sunday the
party motored to Ashland. Klamath
Falls and on to camp in the evening.

last week. Mrs. Hussey was look

Mrs. T. M. Bidler and children
have moved to Bonanza for the
school term.
Sol Dewey has returned to IiIh
home after being a patient at the
Klamalh Valley hospital for several
weeks suffering from an injured
knee.
Mill on Keller has been employed
by Win. Irwin to haul his wheat
to the mill. Irwin had a good
wheat crop.
