president ot the Oregon Trunk rail
road, will ae:ompany Claries F.
Hart, attorney of that lino, on a visit
to Klamatu Falls next week, lo'-'a!
i rail officials admitted today.
Mr. Hart is coming here f:r the
purpose of making further arrange
ments concerning the railroad hear
ing on the Northern line extensl-on
fr-m Bend to Klamath Falls. He
will interview witnesses who will ap
pear before the interstate commerce
commission examiner in Portland.

V. W. Gage of Coquillo, member of
the county board of commissioners,
was last night appointed sheriff of
Coos county by the county commis
sioners to fill the unexpired term of
K. P. Ellin gsen, who was killed in
a nnutomobile accident.
