Mr. and Mrs. Sevick and family
were among the Klamath Falls vis
itors 6n Friday.
Mrs. Frank Flowers and children
left Thursday for paints in California
where, she will spend about ten days
with relatives and friends.
MIbs Charlotte Wright, who was
appointed teacher for Midland pri
mary grades, has been transferred to
Miller Hill school.
There were feuite a number of vis
itors at the Klamath county fair
from Midland and district, also .1
number of blue ribbons wore carried
home from the exhibits.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sutton and fam
ily were visitors at the fair on Sat
urday. Mr. and Mrs. FranK.Gray were
visiting In Olene on Sunday.
Mrs. J. D. Hooper and daughters
were Klamath county fair visitors
on Saturday. Mrs. Hooper had some
fine exhibits of fruit and vegetables
and she carried off a number of rub
bons. Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Burnette and
family were visitors at the fair on
Friday.
The youngsters are preparing for
the opening of school.
Mrs. Mlddleton has taken over the
store at Midland during the absence
of Mrs. Edna Flowers.
Mrs. Beatrice Phelp has returned
to Midland school where she has ac
cepted the position as teacher of the
primary grades. Mrs. Jennie Lee Se
vick lias been, .appointed teacher of
the upper grades.
Fred Peterson and .Mr. Dlmot of
Summer district were out Sunday lay
ing out the route for the high school
bus line in Midland.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Zetzsman and
family were visitors at the county
fair Saturday.
Miss Jackie French has returned
home after spending a few days with
Miss Mary Sevick.
Mr. Mlddleton has moved his fam
ily into the Martin Bros, property
In .Midland. The Mlddletons have
been living at the Midland hotel for
the past few months.

Wednesday evening Mrs. Scoggins
Sunday school class wore guests of
honor at a supper given by the S.S.
of the Presbyterian church. They
wore winners in a recent contost.
They had a table very prettily de
orated with flowers and a cake with
olored frosting having poles and
wires representing the class and elec
tric lights were strung over their- tab
le. Talks were given by Mrs. Scog
gins on tlva "Joy or Teaching the
Class." and by Miss Fay Jlnnette.

perintendent, was in Merrill Tues

been made from the gym will be fin
ished and ready for use by Monday.
The teachers are attending institute
and huve returned from their vaca
tions. Merrill will hove the same
